Press Release: Xceptional’s CFO Recognized as San Diego Business Journal CFO of the Year Finalist
SAN DIEGO, California – Xceptional’s Chief Financial Officer/Chief Operations Officer, Danielle Carpenter, was a finalist for this year’s San Diego Business Journal (SDBJ) CFO of the Year Award. This award recognizes Chief Financial Officers in the San Diego region for their achievements and contributions to company growth, leadership, and community involvement. The SDBJ has been giving out this award for the last 17 years.
“My team surprised me with this nomination. I am so honored that they put in the time and energy to submit the nomination, and even more honored to be representing Xceptional as a finalist. It’s incredibly flattering to be included in this group of individuals,” Danielle said. Ms. Carpenter was one of more than two dozen finalists for this year’s award. This was Ms. Carpenter’s first time being nominated for the SDBJ CFO of the Year Award, and she is the only female executive of Xceptional.
Over the last year, Danielle has been vital to the Xceptional team by spearheading finance and operational strategies and driving key initiatives to implement new workflows, enterprise-wide processes, and platform implementations. Xceptional has been aggressively pursuing a hyper-growth strategy, and Danielle’s work has been integral to securing the necessary resources and platforms with which to execute this strategy. “I count myself lucky to have her on our team,” said Xceptional’s CEO, Chris McKewon, who has been working alongside Ms. Carpenter since 2009 when she was hired as an accounting and administrative assistant before quickly taking on management and leadership roles within the organization.
